Togga Rules

The leagues fall under two categories Private and Public:

  • Private – The league is controlled by the Commissioner who creates the league. The Commissioner controls which teams are entered into to the league by email invite.
  • Public – We plan to offer public leagues at some point in the near future. However, we currently only offer Private Leagues.

We allow a minimum of 4 teams per league and a maximum of 12 teams per league.

Players can be in more than one league.

Head-to-Head Scoring

  • Each team plays a match against another team in the league each Gameweek. The match result is based on the Gameweek score of each team.
  • 3 points are awarded for a win and 1 point for a draw, teams are then ranked on points earned in Head-to-Head matches.
  • Head-to-Head fixtures are generated at the start of the league’s first Gameweek. Once these fixtures have been generated the league is locked and teams will not be able to join or leave.
  • If a Head-to-Head league has an odd number of teams then an average team will join the league to ensure each team has a fixture every Gameweek. This team will always score the Gameweek average.
  • In the event teams have the same overall points, the team who has most game points scored will be positioned higher.

Your league admin will arrange a time for all users of the league to enter the draft.

There will be 17 rounds in the draft – one round for each position on a team. Each team in the league picks a single player for his team each round. A random draft order is chosen for the players in the league. The format of the draft is a snake format, meaning that after the round concludes the user who had the last pick in the previous round has the first pick in the subsequent round. Each team owner drafts unique players via a back-and-forth, round-by-round draft order (i.e., 1-10, 10-1, 1-10, 10-1, etc.) until all roster slots are full.

Each player can only be selected by one team in the league.

You may pick as many players from any Premier League team as you like but only one per round.

PLAYER QUEUE

  • To speed up the draft and make the process more efficient, users have the ability to add players to the “Player Queue.” This helps with streamlining the speed of the draft. There is no limit to the number of players who can be added to this area. In Snake drafts players listed in the Player Queue will automatically drafted if you’re on Auto Pick.

AUTO PICK

  • Once the admin starts the draft, each user will have 90 seconds to select a player from the list of available player options. If no player is selected by the end of the 90 seconds the system will automatically select the player in the top of your Player Queue. If no players are selected in the player queue the system will automatically select the highest rated player remaining in the draft so long as you have not fulfilled the maximum number of players for that position.

Your squad is chosen during the draft.

Your squad is up to 17 players consisting of:

  • 2 Goalkeepers
  • 6 Defenders
  • 6 Midfielders
  • 3 Forwards

The starting lineup will consist of 11 players and there can be 6 subs on the bench. Each starting lineup’s initial formation is a 4-4-2: 1 goalie, 4 defenders, 4 midfielders and 2 forwards.

Togga’s scoring aims to recognize the host of stats beyond just goals, assists, saves and clean sheets. Our all-star team of statisticians have dissected the metrics and put together an optimal scoring format to recognize the most important contributions that take place throughout the course of a match. All stats are powered by Opta, the leading stats provider for the EPL.

DATA

  • Scoring is determined by our data provider, Opta Sports. Togga will always defer to Opta’s stats as they have established themselves as the leading data provider for the EPL. Players will only be added when Opta Sports adds the new player the league.

SCORING CORRECTIONS

  • It’s possible that over the course of the season some scoring plays and player statistics are modified. In most cases these adjustments will be made within 24-hours. The official deadline for scoring corrections will be 48 hours from the end of a game. Scoring changes that occur beyond 48 hours will not be reflected. Any changes entered in the system will automatically reflect in both your Match Score and Standings pages.
WAIVERS

Overview

  • The waiver system is the process Togga uses to distribute available players from the free agent pool to the teams that wish to acquire those players. Players who are not currently on a team are listed as having the option to place a waiver on them. Players go into waivers when the draft is complete, immediately after a player is dropped from a team or when a player enters the Premier League from another league. There is a waiver period and during this time all team owners are allowed to put a waiver claim in to add the player to their team.
  • To put a waiver claim in on a player, click the “Add” button on the Players screen. Once the button is hit, the user will be directed to a page where they must select which player they want to drop for the requested player.
  • On the date waivers are scheduled to clear, the system checks if any teams have a waiver claim on a player. If there exists no claim, the available player becomes a free agent who can be added on a first-come, first-served basis. If only one team has a claim on the player, then that player is added to that team and the team’s priority in the waiver order is moved to the last slot. If more than one team has a claim on a player, then the system checks which team has the highest priority, and that team will win the waiver claim and acquire the player. All players added to a user’s team via waivers are placed in a bench slot. Each team’s waiver priority is displayed on the league dashboard.

When are Waivers Processed?

  • All Players go into waivers when the first match of the week starts and remain in waivers until waivers run the day after the last match of the week.
  • After the waivers are processed and everyone gets their waiver claims players will be free agent and first come first serve until waivers start again for the following week.

Waiver Priority

  • The order of waiver priority starts off as the inverse of the draft order and rotates as people make claims (if a user gets their player they go to the bottom of the list). If there are multiple claims on the same player, then the user with the highest priority will get the player and the other users will retain the player they selected as being dropped if they had been awarded the player on waiver list. The user who did not pick up that player also moves up on the waiver priority list.
FREE AGENTS
  • A free agent is a player who is not currently on a fantasy roster either because that player was not drafted, has not been added to a roster, or has been released by his previous owner and cleared waivers. You can add a free agent player at any time before the lock period of the gameweek. If a user does pick up a free agent, note that the player will be placed on your team’s bench and it will be up to you to make a change to your starting lineup.
